About Us Performance Radios & Communications is a full service company providing sales and service of two-way radio communications and accessories. The main clientele is stock car racing teams, but Performance Radios has also provided equipment for pilots, open-wheel racing teams, studio rentals and track side services. Performance Radios was founded in January, 2001, by Kay Sedgwick. Sedgwick had worked in the West Coast office of Racing Radios for seven years and started Performance Radios upon the closure of Racing Radio's office. She works out of her Acton, Calif., office and travels to Grand National West and Southwest Series Tour races. You can find her in her Performance Radios on-site support vehicle, usually parked next to NASCAR's trailer in the pits. Prior to working in radio communications, Sedgwick spent nine-plus years with Saugus Speedway until its closure in 1995. Sedgwick is married to two-time Winston West Champion and former Craftsman Truck driver Bill Sedgwick. The couple has four children and two grandsons.
